This beach is into two areas, one open to the general public and one private. Its most notorious characteristics are its black sand and the absence of rocks on the shore.

For example, they can be 9.7 km/h or up to 16.7 km/h. The waves are optimal for adventure tourism and water sports such as surfing and parasailing. The average wave height is between 0.6 and 1 m between December and March. The arrival of the rains and high wind gusts can easily exceed 2 meters.

We have different beaches in the department; you can visit Tunco Beach, especially for those who love nightlife. You can also go to Sunzal beach and if you prefer waterfalls. Just 20 minutes away by car, you can find the Tamanique Waterfalls, a natural paradise you can not miss.
If you prefer the city, go to the Salvadoran capital, where you will find different monuments. The first of them is the Cuscatlán Stadium, where the most important sporting and artistic events of El Salvador take place. There is also the Plaza Libertad and its Monument as a tribute to its independence.
Finally and most important of all, the Monument to the Savior of the World (Salvador del Mundo), who is also the patron saint of El Salvador. In short, you will have a trip full of adventure but also a lot of history.
