Its typical tropical beach climate allows visitors to enjoy even more of this Central American paradise, ranging between 26ºC in the morning, 31ºC, or a little more at noon and returning to 26 and 27ºC at night, for an average temperature of 29ºC.

The beach’s humidity level can be a bit high, although it is also variable, ranging from 69% to 86% throughout the day. However, it is not easily perceived since the winds blow up to 14 km per hour at certain hours, producing a sensation of freshness in the atmosphere.

One of them is the Bocana de San Juan or Eco Bocana, a protected natural area and home to thousands of birds that migrate from all over the American continent. It can be explored by boat or jet sky through its numerous mangroves.

Very close to this mouth is Metalio beach, ideal for hiking and enjoying its landscapes, which are well worth some photographs, as a pleasant souvenir of the visit. About 16 kilometers away, we can find Barra de Santiago beach, famous for its beautiful mouth and mangroves. In addition, we can take a tour of Salinitas Beach and Los Cóbanos Beach, which are less than half an hour away by car.

Another recommended place to sit and admire the sea and feel its pleasant breeze is the Mirador El Majahua Sami. A small and calm beach and a restaurant in its highest part, from where you can see the Port of Acajutla, another site to know. In this port, surrounded by a variety of food shops, fresh fish products are offered, as well as boat or land tours to the nearby beaches.
