Photo by ElSalvadorViajar.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Of course, we can not fail to mention one of the most critical places for <strong>Santa Tecla and El Salvador<\/strong> is the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/elsalvadorviajar.com\/en\/national-parks\/el-boqueron\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"8843\">El Boqueron National Park<\/a><\/strong>. It is located in the crater of the San Salvador Volcano and is a favorite destination for hiking and adrenaline lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"history-and-characteristics\">History and characteristics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In August 1854, the current president of the republic, <strong>Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda de San Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, decreed the foundation of Santa Tecla. Between 2002 and 2003, a new decree was issued in which the city will now be called Santa Tecla, which became official in January 2004.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"patron-saint-festivities-and-gastronomy\">Patron saint festivities and gastronomy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Religion is an essential aspect for the <strong>people of Tecla because<\/strong> they highlight their countless cultural manifestations through it. The mayor&#8217;s office, together with the inhabitants, organizes the election of the queen and various activities.
