Climate, flora and fauna<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The climate in Eramon Hill<\/strong> is hot during the day, but at night the temperature usually drops considerably. In the winter season, there is heavy rainfall<\/strong>, and there is abundant cloud cover. The average annual temperatures are between 25\u00b0C and 30\u00b0C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The terrestrial surface is characterized by being of firm rock in some stretches, while in others, it can observe red earth or a mixture of black world and stones. Due to the climate and soil conditions, Eramon Hill<\/strong> has a great diversity of flora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Origin and history of Eramon Hill<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Eramon Hill, or Iramon as it is also known, was where the Aguacao community lived. Today it is called Arcatao. Its name in Nahuatl means “Sierra of the rabbits,”<\/strong><\/em> Since its origins, it has kept a historical legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the surrounding areas, archaeological remains have been found to reaffirm indigenous inhabitants’ presence. They are leaving tangible evidence that the Aguacao people are older than previously thought. Among the findings are two terraces of 100 m and 250 m.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

One of the terraces forms a kind of mound as if it were a sacred area or destined for the most important rituals for the community<\/strong>. Found many objects and figures carved in stone and elaborated in ceramic in this space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to historical data, the native Aguacao people abandoned Eramon Hill <\/strong>shortly before the end of the 18th century. But many decades later, the people again took it over, this time as a guerrilla refuge during times of war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
