The exciting thing is that it is the only elevation in 100 m2 of a hillside that shows behind it the Payacal Volcano, already extinct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, it is the 3rd highest <strong>volcano in El Salvador<\/strong>, with 2,130 meters above sea level covering 13 km2 of land and a crater of approximately 800 m. The <strong>most outstanding was the one in 1762<\/strong>, with a lava rain that put the city at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Centuries later, there was the eruption of 1976 and the most recent, in 2016, which consisted of a rain of ashes.
