History of the Municipal Caluco, Shutecath Tourist Center<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Shutecath Caluco Municipal Tourist Center<\/strong> created approximately 30 years ago, is a hot springs park that is fed by a river that has its source about 6 km from the town.<\/p>\n\n\n

Shutecath<\/strong> is the most visited tourist center in the municipality of Caluco<\/strong>, department of Sonsonate, where it is. The name Shutecath<\/strong> comes from the river that feeds it and is taken from the Nahuat dialect, but the real meaning of the word is unknown, although some say it means place of snails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infrastructure improvements have been made to offer a more varied service, such as pools in the riverbed, protective borders with eye-catching designs, football fields, dining areas, and restaurants with local and typical Salvadoran cuisine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the park’s buildings<\/strong> and infrastructure, there is abundant vegetation, including trees, bushes, and wild grasses very similar to grasses. There is not as much fauna in the tourist center, except for some small birds nesting in the trees.<\/p>\n\n\n
