They later belonged to the department of San Miguel, when it was created in 1824, and finally to Usulut\u00e1n in 1848.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, other significant findings indicate that Tecapa obtained the title of town in 1874 and the city in 1879.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, the <strong>old Tecapa was renamed by the Legislative Assembly as Alegr\u00ed<\/strong>a, on February 17, 1891, in recognition of the teacher and religious leader <strong>Jos\u00e9 Miguel Alegr\u00eda<\/strong>, a year after his death. One of the oldest temples in Usulut\u00e1n, built in 1972 and neoclassical style,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This city is known for its incredible views that you can see from fantastic viewpoints.
